Halifax

Halifax is a major retail bank in UK that provides banking services and products for individuals as well as businesses such as partnerships, limited companies and not-for-profit organisations. It is a division of Bank of Scotland plc and was founded in 1853. Halifax is the main brand in England and Wales with Bank of Scotland the main brand in Scotland. It is operated by HBOS plc, a banking and insurance holding company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lloyds Banking Group. 

It provides banking services through various distribution channels including its bank branches, ATMs, UK call centres and internet platform. As at 2011 it maintains approximately 670 bank branches in its markets.

Halifax provides various savings products for its retail customers including online savings accounts, tax free ISA accounts (ISA online, ISA variable and ISA fixed accounts), fixed rate bond equivalent products (fixed rate savings account) and everyday/regular savings accounts.
